Lecture on how to protect Foreign Investments in Brazil

As part of the 10 years celebration of GEDI, a Brazilian think-tank on International law sponsored by the Federal University of Minas Gerais, I have been invited to talk about FOREIGN INVESTMENT PROTECTION IN BRAZIL.

In my presentation, I will be talking about how Foreign Investors can protect their brands and patents in Brazil, how to avoid troubles with the Brazilian labor law, how to avoid bribery and how to avoid endless litigation.

In addition, I will cover the use of ICSID convention and its applicability in Brazil, risks on capital repatriation and, of course, taxation.

I will be joined by Juliana Porto Fonseca, a brilliant lawyer that also practices on Company Law.
I plan to share the slides (in English) after the event.

Save the date: Next 07th of June, at the UFMG Law School, in Brazil. If you happen to be in Brazil, please be my guest and join the event.

See you,
