UPDATE FROM 2013: ARBITRATION IN BRAZIL IS LESS SAFE NOW
Original post:
The Parana State Court has just reviewed a previous horrible decision that had declared null an arbitration procedure between Inepar and Itiquira Energética, over an agreement for construction of an electric power plant in Brazil.
The original decision dates from 2008 and was reason for shame to Brazil before the international community.
Now, after this last problem has been solved, and considering the huge support arbitration has received by the Brazilian superior courts and academia in the last decade, one can finally say Brazilian arbitration procedures are real, solid and reliable.
